ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Allegiant Airlines announced it will expand service to St. Petersburg/Tampa, from RoanokeBlacksburg Regional Airport.
This year, as the airline celebrates its 10th anniversary at ROA with air service to St. Petersburg, it will increase service from seasonal to year round.
"Passengers in the Roanoke and New River valleys and beyond support Allegiant by flying these routes and, as a result, the airline is now offering additional service," said Tim Bradshaw, AAE, Executive Director of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission. "This is an example of how the community supporting the airport can make a difference, resulting in additional service."
ROA serves nearly 600,000 passengers per year via four airlines with nonstop service to eight hub cities.
