Allegiant offering nonstop from Blue Grass Airport to Savannah
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Allegiant airline is now offering nonstop service from Lexington’s Blue Grass airport to Savannah, Georgia.
“We’re very excited to connect Lexington with Savannah,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “The Lexington community has embraced this new route, and we’re excited for them to explore all that the Savannah area has to offer. We look forward to bringing more economic growth and travelers to the area with the new route.”
New seasonal service from Blue Grass Airport (BCG) to Savannah Hilton Head Airport (SAV) will operate twice weekly through August 14, 2016. The new route will bring nearly 4,000 additional visitors to Savannah, Georgia.
“We are very excited about the new service Allegiant is providing between our airport and the Lexington Blue Grass Airport,” said Gregory B. Kelly, Savannah Airport Commission executive director. “We believe many people in our region will take advantage of the affordable fares to visit the ‘Horse Capital of the World’ and all it has to offer. We also believe that the 700,000 plus residents in the Lexington region will take advantage of those low fares to visit and enjoy Savannah, Hilton Head and the Low Country. We intend to work very closely with our regional partners and our counterparts in Lexington to ensure this new service success and expands.”
Allegiant is offering one-way fares on the new routes for as low as $60. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can only be found at Allegiant.com.
